El dinero y los egos son muchas veces como un muro que divide vidas, trayectorias, amistades y grupos musicales. Estación, podría sumarse a esa lista, pues al parecer existen problemas dentro de su alineación.

Married couples who attend church together tend to be happier than couples who rarely or never attend services, according to sociologist W. Bradford Wilcox of the University of Virginia.

Using three nationally representative surveys - the General Social Survey (GSS), the National Survey of Families and Households (NSFH), and the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) - Wilcox found that married church-going Americans across denominational and racial classifications were more likely to describe themselves as "very happy" than their non-religious counterparts.

Couples who attended church regularly were also less likely to divorce than couples who seldom attended church services, Wilcox found.

5- year old Adriel Arocha shouldn't be at the center of a firestorm right now. He should be in school learning alongside his classmates in his hometown on the outskirts of Houston, Texas. But a controversy around his physical appearance is holding him back:

Michelle Betenbaugh says her 5-year-old son, Adriel Arocha, wears his hair long because of religious beliefs tied to his Native American heritage.

But the leaders of the Needville school district have strict rules about long hair on boys and don't see any reason to make an exception in his case.

The dispute illustrates a problem American schools have faced for decades: how to balance individual student rights against rules designed to maintain order and discipline in the classroom.

The case also shows that some rural Texas school districts often have stricter grooming codes that reflect the traditional or old-fashioned values of small-town America when compared to those in big-city school districts such as Houston's.

When a man is born, his habitat is already defined. Eventually, he will adapt to it, i.e., he acquires the required consistency that will help him to overcome the obstacles that life has. This way, mankind achieves such intrinsic nature that defines a concrete existence in time and space, further arriving to a propensity to act according to its own discretion, and not in concert with the community, becoming isolated and selfish in affections, interests, studies, and other dimensions. Finally, the man becomes full of himself, forfeiting any other purposes.

Thus, since the VIII century, individualism constituted a topic of controversy. Several centuries later, St. Thomas Aquinas says that the principle of individualization is, in sensible things, “matter”, while for Duns Scotus it’s only a philosophical form that he calls haecceitas, i.e., this, here, and that reduce to the ultimate essential reality of each individual, i.e., particularly distinguishable from one class, collection or series, indivisible, impossible to separate in parts without altering its character, without stopping being a mere being. Therefore, at least, the individual contains two principles: its nature and its individual entity, elements that exist only by a formal distinction, not by factual reality.

The individual is a real being, unlike its species, which is ideal. The problem that creates this concept derives from the relationship essence-existence, an understanding of the nature of the singular, and so further. With this value, the problem of individualism comprises the fields of sociology, psychology, and politics, invading existentialism.

Self-centered people creates a harmful environment, which typically leads to irreversible damage. Because society has been imbued with these people’s actions, it has been steadily adapting to such individualistic behavior, which in turn leads to societies being directed by monopolies and messianic pseudo-leaders. Often, development of such societies depends on unilateral theories, normally based on confrontation, created by the diversity of characters and conceptualizations.

Hence, divisions in society emanate:

1. Those who bid to maintain the positions they have achieved at the expense of imposing his theories regardless of whether such theories harm others.



2. Those living opposed to the previous individuals, which creates a constant anxiety within societies, causing them to take different directions and preventing, in most cases, the desired outcome: development. Moreover, false structures and platforms are created because of this tension.



3. Further, we have those who do not agree with the previous cases, and which are only waiting for a clear winner in order to go over to the winner’s group.



4. Finally, individuals living their daily lives without realizing all the wrappers that define society. From the moral standpoint, we may argue that people in this group are somewhat confused.

Particularly, I think that one way to help self-centered people is to indicate them all the possibilities for sharing that life offers. Sharing is necessary for their subsistence and growth. Don’t give them the bread or the fish, but teach them how to plough and how to fish. Teachers are the best for doing this. They will understand that we are all individuals and, although with different characters, we all have always a single and wonderful purpose: life.

Esta noticia que se acompaña de un vídeo muestra claramente que en Filipinas aun siguen consumiendo carne de perro. La asociación Humane Society Internacional ayudados de la policía consiguieron rescatar 100 perros que estaban destinados a su sacrificio para consumo humano.

• El primer tema abordado fue Final Crisis, aunque poco se dijo de ella: "en octubre veremos el regreso de Final Crisis a lo grande, con 'Legion of Three Worlds', 'Rogues Revenge'y 'Final Crisis #4', así como con los one-shots 'Final Crisis:Resist' y 'Final Crisis: Submit', que fueron diseñados para mostrar cómo es la vida en la Tierra después de que los héroes hayan sido derrotados por Darkseid", fueron las palabras de Didio al respecto.

• Después Geoff Johns dijo que "Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns" servirá para introducir oficialmente a los Red Lanterns como una fuerza. Sólo sabemos por ahora que sus poderes están basados en la ira y que desean ejecutar a Sinestro.


• Luego se habló sobre New Krypton, de la cual se dijo, además de lo que ya sabemos, que examinará la vida en Kandor (situada en el Polo Norte) así como en Metropolis y el resto de la Tierra con el agregado de sus nuevos residentes (como ya sabíamos, los 100.000 kryptonianos). El especial de Jimmy Olsen que saldrá en octubre también será parte de la historia grande de New Krypton, según dijo James Robinson (escritor de "Superman"), ya que sembrará pistas y elementos que se verán en el evento de Superman. Sterling Gates, nuevo escritor de "Supergirl", dijo que su personaje tendrá un lugar grande en esta historia siendo que todo lo que quiso desde que aterrizó en este planeta fue regresar a Krypton y reunirse con sus padres, y ahora Krypton vino a la Tierra y sus padres están vivos. Anotó luego que la reunión padre-hija sucederá en New Krypton. Esta historia también tendrá una nueva Superwoman, nuevos Flamebird y Nightwing (nada que ver con una posible muerte de Dick Grayson; aclaración por si acaso), así como el regreso de los Creature Commandos.

• Pasando a la Justice Society, Johns (su escritor) dijo que luego de "Thy Kingdom Come" Black Adam e Isis pasarán a ser lo principal de la serie, lo que traerá como consecuencia nuevas apariciones de Felix Faust, Atom Smasher y, seguramente pero no se dijo, el viejo Capitán Marvel ahora guardián de la Roca de la Eternidad.


• Sobre los Teen Titans, Sean McKeever (escritor de esta serie) dijo que todo lo que viene sucediendo desembocará en una historia titulada "Kings and Pawns” que traerá nuevos miembros al equipo de adolescentes. Además dijo que en el #4 de la miniserie "Terror Titans" aparecerá Static (personaje de Milestone) siendo esta su primera aparición oficial en el Universo DC. De paso, hablando de Milestone, Didio dijo que Icon será un personaje importante en la serie "Justice League of America" en los próximos años.


• Sobre el recientemente anunciado acontecimiento programado para enero de 2009, "Faces of Evil", se dijo además de lo ya dicho, que habrá cuatro especiales que serán de los siguientes personajes: Solomon Grundy (escrito por Geoff Johns y Scott Kolins y dibujado por éste), Prometheus (escrito por Sterling Gates), Kobra (que y Deathstroke (luego de los sucesos de "Last Will and Testament"). Todos estos villanos tendrán un lugar importante en las historias del Universo DC en el 2009.

• Para los fans de Aquaman, Didio informó que él está escribiendo una historia de ocho páginas que saldrá en el "Holiday Special" en diciembre de este año con dibujos de Ian Churchill, pero nada sobre futuras series regulares.
  

• Ante una pregunta de un asistente se dijo un poco más de los diferentes colores de Lanterns que veremos en adelante en los títulos "Green Lantern" y "Green Lantern Corps" y próximamente en el evento "The Blackest Night": "el 'Agent Orange' aparece después de 'Rage of the Red Lanterns' y es el favorito de Johns. Su juramente es muy, muy interesante. Los Blue Lanterns son sobre la Esperanza, pero ellos definen Esperanza de una manera muy diferente, y lo que ellos hacen afecta a los otros Lanterns."

• Sobre Hawkman y el especial de "Rann/Thanagar: Holy War" que cuestionó nuevamente su origen, Dan Didio dijo que quieren entablar algunas preguntas sobre el origen de este personaje, y esto se abordará en "Justice League of America" y "The Blackest Night".

• Hubo también una referencia por parte de Geoff Johns al futuro de Flash debido al regreso de Barry Allen: "Tanto 'Rebirth' como 'Flash' estarán bastante basados en lo científico, pero también tratarán sobre la cuasi-ciencia de la Speed Force. Y permitirá aprender mucho sobre Barry Allen antes de que lo golpeara el rayo."

• Didio informó que después de "Trinity" habrá una serie semanal que no durará un año, y otra que tendrá el potencial de ser ilimitada. Sobre "Trinity" se dijo que tendrá importancia para el Multiverso y los personajes que en ella se introdujeron seguirá apareciendo en el futuro cercano.
